01.Scope of this policy
This policy sets standards for affiliate promotions, advertiser-funded activities and referral relationships involving Critello. It applies alongside the Terms of Service and any separate campaign or partner agreement.
A commercial arrangement requires its own eligibility rules, qualifying actions and payment terms. This policy alone does not create a commission rate, referral entitlement or partnership. A third-party logo does not establish sponsorship or endorsement.
02.How affiliate relationships work
An advertiser may compensate a publisher for a defined qualifying action, such as an eligible installation, research submission or subscription activation. Part of a confirmed payment may fund a participant reward. The commercial relationship should be clear before a person decides to take part.
Commission does not guarantee that an activity suits a particular user. Descriptions must explain required spending, subscriptions, eligibility, deadlines and tracking conditions. Do not call an offer free while concealing an unavoidable charge.
03.Clear disclosures
Disclose a material commercial relationship near the recommendation or link, where a person can see and understand it before acting. The wording should explain that the publisher may receive compensation for a qualifying action. Use language suited to the audience and format.
A footer disclosure alone is not sufficient for a specific paid endorsement. Posts, videos, newsletters and comparison pages need disclosures that are appropriate to their placement. Disclose any incentive associated with a review and do not conceal material limitations behind a reward headline.
04.Referral eligibility and attribution
A referral agreement must identify allowed locations, eligible participants, the qualifying action, attribution rules, commission calculation, validation period, payment schedule and any minimum amount. Explain the relevant privacy choices and tracking duration before participation.
A click or account request does not automatically qualify for a commission. Duplicate, self-referred, fraudulent, reversed or otherwise ineligible actions may be excluded under the applicable agreement. An attribution dispute should have an evidence-based review route.
05.Prohibited promotion
Do not send spam, buy or sell personal data, impersonate Critello, conceal a commercial interest, guarantee earnings, fabricate testimonials or create false urgency. Promotional claims must be accurate, supportable and relevant to the specific activity.
Cookie stuffing, forced redirects, malicious software, misleading buttons, automated registrations, account farms and unauthorised brand bidding are prohibited. Do not market adult-only reward participation to children or encourage users to evade eligibility restrictions.
Do not ask people to submit false survey answers, manipulate attribution, publish deceptive reviews or spend money they cannot afford. An incentive must not be used to hide a purchase, subscription or financial commitment.
06.Brand assets and editorial standards
Use only assets covered by the permission granted for the relevant arrangement. Do not register confusingly similar domains, copy the website, suggest employment or imply endorsement by a payment provider. Third-party trademarks remain with their respective owners.
A commercial relationship must not require a positive review or suppression of honest criticism. Comparisons should explain their criteria and distinguish editorial recommendations from sponsored placements. Disclosures should remain visible on mobile screens as well as desktop displays.
07.Validation, reversals and complaints
The applicable agreement governs conversion checks, permissible reversals, reporting, payment timing and dispute windows. A reversed or rejected commission should have a reason linked to those terms and an appropriate route for review.
Suspected abuse should be investigated proportionately. Where lawful, the affected partner should receive a reason for restrictions and a chance to provide relevant evidence. Ending a relationship does not by itself justify confiscating valid, undisputed amounts.
Report misleading promotions or suspected abuse to support@critello.com with the relevant URL, date and a short explanation. Do not include passwords, complete payment credentials or unnecessary personal information.
08.Privacy, taxes and updates
Affiliate tracking must respect applicable privacy rules and the Cookie Policy. Publishers are responsible for notices and consent within their own services. A choice made on one site must not be assumed to cover another site's tracking.
Partners are responsible for their own lawful business registration, tax reporting and the payment information required by the applicable agreement. Share sensitive information only through an appropriate verified process.
This policy is effective 29 October 2026. Material changes should be communicated through an appropriate channel and applied consistently with existing agreements. Questions about affiliate standards may be sent to support@critello.com.
